A Cross-sea Bridge Steel Structure Anti-corrosion Project
C5-I Severe Corrosion EnvironmentThe project is located in a coastal area with high salt spray, with a designed service life of 25 years. The total coating area of the bridge steel structure exceeds 300,000㎡.
The marine atmospheric environment has extremely high salt spray concentration, requiring extremely high corrosion resistance performance for coatings; bridge structures are complex, with many blind spots that require special coating processes; construction schedules are tight, needing to be coordinated with the overall bridge project progress.
Three-layer system: water-based epoxy zinc-rich primer (zinc content > 80%) + water-based epoxy iron-chloride intermediate coat + water-based acrylic polyurethane topcoat. The primer provides cathodic protection, the intermediate coat enhances shielding, and the topcoat offers weather resistance and decorative appeal.
All coatings passed 1000-hour neutral salt spray test with adhesion >5MPa. The project was delivered on time, with VOC emissions reduced by over 85% compared to solvent-based solutions.
A large equipment manufacturing plant
C4 Moderate Corrosion EnvironmentNew heavy equipment manufacturing plant, with total steel structure weight of approximately 8,000 tons and coating area of about 100,000㎡. Requirements include fast construction speed and compliance with environmental standards.
The project timeline was tight, and traditional oil-based paints had slow drying times that affected subsequent processes. Local environmental authorities strictly controlled VOC emissions. Some areas of the plant were affected by welding fumes and oil contamination.
The primer used was water-based anti-rust primer (salt spray resistance 120H), and the topcoat was water-based acrylic anti-corrosion topcoat. Welding areas were treated before painting. Airless spraying was used to improve construction efficiency.
The construction period was reduced by 30% compared to traditional solutions, with VOC emissions decreased by 85%. The coating adhesion was ≤1 level, and salt spray resistance reached 240 hours, meeting environmental standards. The project passed environmental inspections on the first try.
Anti-corrosion project for power towers in a province
Severe corrosion conditions outdoorsAnti-corrosion maintenance project for provincial transmission towers, involving 220kV and 500kV lines, with over 200 towers.
Towers are located in complex terrains such as mountains and farmland, with difficult construction conditions; the tower structures are complex, with many areas like angle steel and bolts that are hard to coat; the coating is required to require at least 8 years of maintenance-free use.
Special water-based paint for towers is selected, using a 1-coat primer + 2-coats topcoat system. Brush coating is used for gaps in angle steel, while spraying is used for main surfaces.
The coating has salt spray resistance >720 hours, adhesion ≤1 level. No blistering, rusting, or powdering after 2 years of field inspection. The owner highly approves of environmental performance and construction convenience.
Automated production line for motorcycle parts painting
Batch production environmentA motorcycle parts manufacturing company, processing 5,000 parts daily, requires coatings with high hardness, good appearance, and suitability for automated production lines.
High production capacity required (5,000 pieces per day); diverse types of workpieces (aluminum parts, iron parts, ABS parts), with significant differences in substrates; fast-paced painting line, requiring quick drying and stable performance.
Hardware parts are painted with water-based metal baking paint at 120-160°C, while ABS parts are coated with water-based ABS paint. A mixed production line combining automatic electrostatic spraying and robot spraying is used.
The coating has zero-level adhesion and hardness >2H. The production line operates smoothly, with a good product rate of >98%. VOC emissions are far below national standards.
Anti-corrosion project for a petrochemical storage tank area
Chemical storageIn petrochemical enterprise storage tank areas, 20 storage tanks of different specifications require internal and external wall anti-corrosion. The storage media include crude oil, finished oil, and chemical raw materials.
The inner walls of the storage tanks come into contact with oil and chemicals; the coating must be resistant to oil and acids/bases. The outer walls are exposed to chemical atmospheres and must be resistant to chemical corrosion and weather conditions. Some storage tanks cannot be shut down; construction must be carried out while the tanks are in operation.
The inner wall uses a two-component system of water-based epoxy anti-rust primer and water-based epoxy anti-corrosion topcoat; the outer wall is enhanced with water-based acrylic polyurethane topcoat to improve weather resistance. A zoned construction plan is adopted for the operating storage tanks.
The coating has salt spray resistance of >850 hours and no abnormalities after 30 days of oil immersion. The project received a safety award from the owner and became a standardized solution for subsequent storage tank anti-corrosion.
Painting of a Commercial Complex Building
Indoor and Outdoor BuildingsLarge commercial complex project with a total construction area of approximately 50,000㎡, including shopping malls, office buildings, hotels, and other facilities. High requirements are placed on the environmental friendliness and color effect of the coatings.
The shopping area has a high foot traffic, requiring environmentally friendly and odorless coatings; the hotel area has high demands for color and texture; different areas have different functions, necessitating differentiated solutions.
The public areas of the shopping mall use high-quality interior wall coatings (no-mess series), while the hotel area uses customized color schemes paired with high-quality interior wall paints. The exterior walls use high-quality exterior wall coatings (weather-resistant). A comprehensive color design scheme is provided.
No odor complaints during construction, air quality meets standards after delivery. The exterior wall has withstood 2 years of wind and rain without fading or peeling.
